Step #1: Create an OptinMonster Account
To get started, the first thing you’ll need to do is create an OptinMonster account.

Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin on your WordPress site, the advanced setup wizard will walk you through setting up your account settings and connecting to your Stripe account.
Go ahead and click on Let’s Get Started.
If you didn’t see the setup wizard, simply head over to WP Simple Pay » Settings » Advanced tab and click the Launch Setup Wizard button.
2: Connect WordPress to Stripe
To connect your WordPress site to Stripe, click on Connect with Stripe.
Next up, enter the email address you use for your Stripe account and connect it to your site. If you don’t have a Stripe account, you can easily create one by entering your email address and completing the registration.
Upon completing this process, you’ll be shown a success page that says, “Setup Complete.” Next, click on Create a Payment Form.

Step 3: Create a Black Friday Exit-Intent Popup
So far, you’ve created an OptinMonster account, connected it to your WordPress site, and created a payment form.
To create a Black Friday Exit-Intent Popup that drives traffic to your payment page and form, you’ll first need to navigate to the OptinMonster Dashboard in your WordPress admin.
Then, click on Create New in the Popup module.
Next, enter “Black Friday” in the search bar provided within the templates section of the page.
You’ll notice there are several Black Friday-themed templates available for you to choose from.
For the purpose of this tutorial, go ahead and choose the Black Friday (Rounded) template.
You’ll be prompted to enter the name of your campaign. Once you’ve finished entering the name, click on Start Building.
OptinMonster allows you to easily edit the popup to suit your specific needs. You can use it to drag and drop blocks to your popup.
Feel free to configure the countdown timer to reflect your Black Friday offer, edit the text, and be sure to add the link to your payment page/form to the CTA button.
Simply drag and drop the button block into the popup.
Then, choose redirect to a url from the from the Button Click Action dropdown menu.
Step 4: Set Up Targeted Display Rules
Now that you’ve customized your Black Friday exit-intent popup, it’s time to customize the targeted display rules.
First, click on Display Rules from the menu and feel free to change the time on page settings, in additiont to the pages you want the popup to be displayed.
Now that you’ve configured the display rules, go ahead and click on Save. Then, navigate over to the Publish tab and click on the Schedule button. Be sure to set the Starts and Ends times to meet your specific Black Friday sale and then click on Save.
Be sure to navigate back to your WordPress admin dashboard and click on OptinMonster » Campaigns to publish your popup campaign.
You can also preview the popup that will be displayed on your site when visitors go to exit your site.
